NEW!*Kate pleads not guilty to a laundry list of crimes, including murder, assault and weapons charges. Source: Hawaii Blog
NEW!*The woman we saw on the balcony is called Susan and she is one of the lawyers on Kate's trial. Source: Lost Spoilers
NEW!*Down in the underground parking lot for the capitol building, near the guard booth and lower entrance off Miller St., a clean-shaven, leather-jacket wearing Jack has a brief conversation with the striking, poised Kate we saw at the end of Season 3. Jack steps away from an older, brown pickup truck, not unlike the one Locke drove in one of his flashbacks, to talk to Kate. There's some awkwardness, but there are also some smiles. Eventually, Jack helps Kate get into a yellow taxi cab, and watches as it drives away. Does this basement parking lot scene come before or after her chaotic courtroom arrival, or even in the same year? Source: Hawaii Blog
NEW!*Lost took over much of the Capitol District in downtown Honolulu today, including parts of the Hawaii State Capitol and the nearby Laniakea YWCA. Deep inside the Capitol, a police interrogation. Across the street, a courtroom. But out front, it was a madhouse. It was the trial of Kate Austen, and it was a flash forward. For Episode 4 of Season 4, the Capitol building played a Los Angeles courthouse this morning in a scene so dramatic it was reported to real newsrooms around Honolulu. Action is called. Kate arrives in a black Lincoln Town Car, with Los Angeles police cruiser and motorcycle escorts. A mob of people, plus journalist and TV news crews (news vans from channel 6 and 19 were on the scene), are waiting. The people boo, hiss, shout "Murderer!" from behind the barricades as Kate is ushered inside. At first blush, it sounds like it could be a flashback, relating to one of Kate's many pre-crash crimes. But I have it on good authority that it was indeed a flash forward. although that fact may not be readily apparent as the story unfolds! Source: Hawaii Blog
NEW!* We will find out if Kate is pregnant around episode 4.04 set to air in March 2008. Source: The Official LOST Podcast

S4E05: Unknown Title
NEW!*RAY: 40s-50s, any ethnicity, psychiatrist, cold, professional type who can do what's necessary to get the job done. ALFRED: 40s-50s, Caucasian, British, cool and calm under pressure, knows his place in society and knows how to handle members of the upper classes. BANNERMAN: Mid 40s, any ethnicity, narcoleptic, can fall asleep at the drop of a hat, but has an important piece of information to tell. A very smart technician by trade. BILLY: Mid to late 20s, Caucasian, British, a good buddy to have, willingly to listen but won't take too much gruff before he'll knock you in line. FOLEY: 40s - 50s, any ethnicity, British, physically fit, tough task master, unrelenting. A performance reminiscent of R. Lee Ermey in "Full Metal Jacket". LARSON: Late 20s - 30s, any ethnicity, smart, dangerous but capable of charm and humor. Tough military type. Follows orders and doesn't question them. Possible recurring character. KEAMY: Late 20s - 30s, any ethnicity, dangerous, physical - a great tactician, loyal friend and the last enemy you ever want. Military type. Follows orders and doesn't question them. Possible recurring character. Source: Lost Spoilers
NEW!*This episode could be Desmond-centric. Lost of British soldier types. Also in the eps and possibly recurring, Ray, a coldly professional psychiatrist. Source: secretagentman

S4E06: Unknown Title
NEW!*New character, Chandley Price: mid 30s to early 40s. Female. She is tough, no-nonsense and beautiful in an unadorned way. She is a therapist by profession and yet could benefit from some therapy herself. The qualities that make her a leader and effective at seeing into other people also cause her problems in her own life -- she can be overly controlling and obsessive. Her strength of personality is undeniable. Guest Starring/Recurring. Source: secretagentma

New Characters

NEW!*Fisher Stevens is joining ABC's Lost in the recurring role of Minkowski, a mysterious character alluded to several times toward the end of last season and ultimately heard over the phone when Jack made contact with Not Penny's Boat. The name Minkowski, the Hollywood Reporter notes, could be an allusion to German mathematician Hermann Minkowski, whose concept of a fourth dimension - time - played into Einstein's theory of special relativity. Source: TV Guide Online

*New characters (most likely to appear in episode 3) MARK FORRESTER: 40's, Male. All Ethnicities. Handsome and cocky. Corporate type. ARTHUR GALZETHRON: 60's, Male. All Ethnicities. President of a coporation. MELISSA WATERS: 40's, Female. All Ethnicities. Attrative. Confident Business woman. Source: Chicago Actor

*Jeff Fahey's character will be called Frank Lapidus. Source: RebeccahS

*Executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse tell EW.com that Jeff Fahey has been added to the show, joining previously announced newcomers Jeremy Davies, Lance Reddick, Ken Leung, and British actress Rebecca Mader. The producers wouldn't comment on the character that Fahey will be playing, but said he was the first and only choice for the role. Source: EW.com

*We're hearing that creepmaster Jeremy Davies (Saving Private Ryan) is doing eight eps of Lost this season, and one Rebecca Mader will have a major recurring role as well...perhaps as the much discussed Charlotte? Source: Kristen On E!Online

*Lance Reddick has been cast in the recurring role of Arthur Stevens. Source: TVGuide

*Ken Leung will be joining the cast of Lost. It is believed that he will play the character of Russel. Source: TVGuide

*A new character named Arthur Stevens will be appearing in the first two episodes of the season, and possibly recurring. Here's some info: He is a ruthless corporate recruiter, tall and thin, with a chilling prescence. Source: secretagentman

*Some more information on the two new characters: [RUSSELL] - late 30s, a brilliant mathematician and deep thinker who is capable of great insights and has a tremendous knowledge across various scientific fields. He sometimes struggles socially by being too direct and disconnected in his interpersonal relationships. While an empiricist by trade he is humbled and fascinated by the magic and mystery of all in this world that cannot be explained by science....RECURRING ARC WITH A POSSIBLE OPTION FOR SERIES REGULAR FOR NEXT SEASON. Starts with Episode 1 [CHARLOTTE] -- late 20s. Very attractive in a naturalistic, athletic way, her looks are only one small part of charms. Precocious, loquacious, and funny, Charlotte a very successful academic who also knows how to handle herself in the real world. On a personal level it is hard to crack the hard shell of poise and certainty around her, but when it DOES crack its like an egg; lots of repressed and pent up emotions spill out....RECURRING ARC WITH A POSSIBLE OPTION FOR SERIES REGULAR FOR NEXT SEASON. Starts with Episode 2.

*Two new characters begin in eps. 2, possibly extending the rest of the season, and perhaps next season. Russell, a brilliant mathematician in his late 30's and Charlotte, an attractive, athletic academic. Names may change of course. Source: secretagentman

*I'm hearing they're going to cast at least one newbie for next season. Source: Kristen on E!Online

General Spoilers

NEW!*Jorge Garcia confirms that a death will occur early in the season. Source: Jorge Garcia

NEW!]*Executive producer and co-creator Damon Lindelof said the fourth season will continue "to answer and ask a lot of questions." But, he added, "season four is going to be a whole new show in a lot of ways. We're really excited with what we're doing and hope that it'll offer as many surprises as the finale did." Among the spoilers Lindelof revealed: "Michael is coming back. Definitely. As for Walt, we've always known Malcolm was going to grow faster than we could shoot the show. And we planned for it. Trust us. Please trust us." The show's producers have already figured out what they will do with the mysterious character of Jacob, who was introduced at the end of season three. Picking his words carefully, executive producer Carlton Cuse said, "Yes, we do know how Jacob will be depicted. Notice the careful wording of my answer. And no, Jacob did not appear before he was met by Locke." Cuse also declined to say whether an actor had been chosen to portray the character. Flashbacks will continue to explain the backgrounds of some of the characters, but there will also be glimpses into the future, the producers said. The producers said that it is inevitable that the time-bending story of Lost will continue to use looks both backward and forward. "It's absolutely inevitable, not to migrate completely away from flashbacks, but at least to find a new paradigm for storytelling that changed up the nature of the show," Cuse said. "Moving forwards, you'll get a mix. Every week will hopefully be a guessing game as to not just who will be focused on, but when we're focusing on them. Flash-forwards will be a part of season four, yes." The reverberations of the death of Charlie Hieronymus Pace, played by Lord of the Rings's Dominic Monaghan, at the end of the last season will inevitably continue at the beginning of season four. "The reverberation of that death echoes right into the premiere of season four," Lindelof said. Source: Sci Fi Wire

NEW!*Lost executive producer Carlton Cuse confirms that [Cynthia Watros] will be playing Hurley's dearly departed sweetheart [Libby] again this season for multiple episodes, presumably in more of Desmond's flashbacks. "She'll be in enough of the show for us to fill in the missing pieces of her story," says Cuse. Source: The Ausiello Report

"The Hatch" imploded according to Locke but there is definitely more to this story. You will get a better picture of what happens later. And Jacob? The answer lies further downstream in the ongoing story. Season finale definitely set up season four, it will make you realize that the house you are standing in actually has a lot more rooms than you thought when you came into it. Source: Interview with Damon Lindelof

*Lost was filming along a small streambed at Judd Trail, up Old Nuuanu Pali Road. A perfectly Lost-y jungle location. All the action was out of sight, but it was good to see some familiar faces on the crew. I can only tell you that there was a major confrontation (I could hear yelling echo through the forest), and can rattle of the list of actors I spotted. But I think you'll agree, this simple list alone is enough to get one's heart aflutter. This was a major shoot! Jorge Garcia (who was kind enough to stop and chat), Terry O'Quinn, Mira Furlan (in a nice checkerboard flannel-type shirt), Josh Holloway (who I believe was the aggressor), Michael Emerson (who appeared to have been on the losing end of a fight), Blake Bashoff and Emilie DeRavin. Of course there was at least one baby being carried around. Names overheard but not seen include Evangeline Lilly, "Carla," "Alex," "Karl," and "Fuzzy" (likely stunt pro Robert Moody). During my brief chat with Jorge, he again expressed a great deal of excitement and anticipation for the first few scripts of Season 4, comparing it to Season 1 in richness and mind-blowing moments. He also recalled meeting friends of mine yesterday at the "Santa Rosa" location, summarizing the shoot with a long, delicious, "Whew!" I think it's safe to say fans are no less excited about the return of Lost. My friend Darcy also visited the location later in the day and saw Matthew Fox in a scene with Evangeline and Jeremy Davies. Davies, playing a character named Daniel, was wearing a vest with a blinking light and made a call to someone named George, presumably or supposedly on Naomi's ship. Source: The Transmission

*Lost was back at the historic YWCA on Richards Street in downtown Honolulu. Interior filming, so not many details. However, several fans spotted and took photos of Jorge Garcia, which would make sense, as the YWCA has played his mental institution several times. Also spotted, Lance Reddick, one of the new faces on the show. He was carrying a briefcase or suitcase, one that you'd think a doctor might carry. Source: The Transmission

*Emmerson says that the episodes in Season 4 will be scarier then ever... Source: National Ledger

*We'll be seeing less of Matthew Fox [Jack] this season, although so far there are no "Jack-off" days. Source: Kristen On E!Online

*Aaron will be appearing in the first two episodes. Source: Hononlulu Advertiser

*Libby's story will definitely be revisited this season. Backing up what he and Damon Lindelof teased at Comic-Con last week, Carlton Cuse tells me, "There is a cool part of [Libby's] story that we have yet to tell." Source: Ausiello @ TVGuide

*The situation is going to be very intense this year. Charlie wrote on his hand not Penny's boat, and the message he wrote on his hand was very important. "With Jin and Sun there is a very dynamic situation at work. She's pregnant...the fate of her child, the fate of their marriage, all those questions Damon and I will get to and more this season." Walt, along with Michael, will be back. We will see more of Jacob. Source: Kristen On E!Online

*Comic-Con 2007 Spoilers: The survival of the island is now at stake. Flashbacks and flashforawrds will continue, how far and with whom will be the questions. Jack and Claire will find out they are related. Ben was captured by Rousseay by accident. Ben and Henry Gale "had words." Damon: "The show has never really been about getting off the Island...There's this whole chapter of the story that takes place off the Island." Michael's story will be about Redemption; Michael will be a serrie's regular. Carlton: "It is our intention to get to Libby's story this year, and we think you will be happy when we finish that. Danielle's story will either come this or next season. There is a clip of one of the station orientation films, hosted by Marvin Candle under an alias. The footage begins with him getting his makeup done and smoothing down his Dharma labcoat. Bunnies! It's about bunnies! Bunny #15, to be specific. Marvin, who calls himself Dr. Edgar Halifax in this film, identifies it as station six, the Orchid. He says the viewer has probably realized by now that he or she is working at a mere botanical research unit. He apologizes for making them lie to their friends and families about the nature of the work. He mentions something that sounds like "Kasimir effect" and mentions the "unique properties of the Island." Then there's one of Jacob's subliminal messages. It may have been some variation on "as Jacob loves you." Then there's a bunny riot. One of the station's alarms blares, Dr. Halifax/Marvin panics. There's an Intercut clip of someone riding a bicycle. The clip is inserted upside-down and the rider appears to be in the village green of Otherville...And then, amid the chaos (perhaps this is the Incident?), the filmstrip slides off the reel. *Steve McPherson comments on Lost's finale, saying that it opened up a new world for the show. He also informs us that Harold Perrineau (Michael) is returning to the show. Source: ABC Live Press Tour

*Season Four's flash forward sequences are essentially a season-within-a-season. Don't freak out, its not another mini-pod thing-a-ma-jig. The particulars have not been planned but apparently they are looking at a mix of flash backs and flash words, with a larger number of flash forwards. The flash forwards tell a linear story, but will be presented in non-linear format from the vantage point of different characters. (This kills the 'only Kate and Jack' got off the island theory.) The big kicker is the Flash Forwards will be shot, according to the source, in Los Angeles.Production will begin in mid-August and complete in March. That means that roughly 11-13 episodes will be completed by the time LOST airs. With spoiler-gate 2007 behind us, what are the odds that LOST will be locking its production down tighter than ever? Kristin Veatch reports that Harold Perrineau has been offered his job back as 'series regular.' Rumors were circulating to this effect MONTHS ago, however. It was also reported at that time that the creators had a plan to deal with Walt's aging. Hmm... Flash forwards + Plan to deal with Walt's aging = Perrineau returning as regular in the future portion of next season. I supposed we will also see Walt going all Zen on us, learning to project himself into the past. Source: The TailSection

*Jacob has been cast. He's someone we've seen but not heard and we may never hear him speak. He could likely remain in the shadows. The freighter is not related to Dharma. There is still a lot to learn about Ben and his background and there will be more information about the Hostiles and Dharma in Season 4. Source:
Michael Emmerson Podcast

*When asked about Desmond and the effect Charlie's death will have on him, Damon Lindelof says, "Desmond will have to deal with the after effects and the guilt of it. He will question whether or not Charlie would have made this sacrifice, had he not told him that was what he was going to do? He will question the role he played in Charlie’s death." Source: Kristen on E!Online

*The 4 toed statue is something we will get to next year, and we will be seeing a lot more of Jacob. Two major characters will return in Season 4. Source: Ask Ausiello

*Harold Perrineau (Michael) has apparently been offered a role to return as a series regular for Season 4. Source: Kristen

*According to AICN and The Tail Section, Season 4 will feature both Flash Forwards and Flash Backs. Source: AICN and The Tail Section

*Rousseau will appear in someone else's FB in Season 4. Source: Lost Podcasts

*Rousseau will have a FB episode in Season 4. Source: Lost Podcasts

*They will be revisiting the psychic's predictions for Claire in the future as well as Walt's abilities. The Others' obsession with children and pregnancy goes beyond the inability to successfully bear children on the island. The Other's definitely have an interest in children with special abilities. That's why they took Walt. There are two factions of The Others and are in no relation to the hatches/stations. They will be getting back to the statue before the show ends. Source: Lost Podcasts

*Christmas may be celebrated in Season 4. Source: Lost Podcasts

*Cuse: Given everything else we have to tell, [Libby’s story] is going to be a mystery that's going to have to get answered in year 4. Lindelof: There's really one significant missing piece to Libby's story. We saw in the season finale last year that she met with Desmond, she gave him his boat, and we know that her husband died — and then we know that subsequent to that, she spent some time in a mental institution, the same one as Hurley. The question the audience wants answered is, How did she get from A to B — from Desmond to the mental institution? We know the answer to that question, but the only way to tell that story is through another character's flashback, and that character would have to be another character on the show who is not among the beach dwellers. Source: Kristin on E!Online

*Mrs. Hawking (the woman from Desmond's flashbacks) will not be seen again this [Season 3] season, but will appear in later
